sdk_date
Purpose: Returns textual/timestamp offsetted date by board and by member offset and DST setting.
Availability: IPB SDK 0.51
Displays a page of information on IPB SDK, PHP, the Zend Engine, IPB and mySQL. This function is intended as a debugging function, any using this in a public script can be dangerous.
Similar to PHP's built in date function. Returns a offsetted version of timestamp, by the board setting and individual member setting. If dateformat is specified, the timestamp will automatically be converted to a English textual date. If noboard is set to TRUE the time will not be offsetted by the board setting. If nomember is set to TRUE the time will not be offsetted by the currently logged in member's individual timezone choice and DST setting.
If timestamp is not specified, the current time will be used as the timestamp.
The following characters recognized in the dateformat attribute:
(Same as PHP date() but added for convinience)
A Uppercase Ante meridiem and Post meridiem (AM or PM)

A commonly made mistake in PHP is this:
echo date("Right now is: g:iA, on the dS of F, Y");
Which Outputs (as an example):
R3350529 2o0 3305: 5:33PM, o2 2905e 29th of February, 2004
This code should be:
echo "Right now is: ";
echo date("g:iA ");
echo ", on the ";
echo date("dS");
echo " of ";
echo date("F, Y");
By using that code, we get just what we wanted:
Right now is: 5:36PM , on the 29th of February, 2004
Hope that Helped,
