Numismaticore Posted August 29, 2020 #1 Posted August 29, 2020 (edited) Hello there! Would someone help me to identify this token? All I can see on the obverse is the three crowns. A shield on the obverse is divided into four sections. Top right and bottom left sections contain the annulets (three rings); top left and bottom right – animal heads. I'd say the bottom one looks like a bear with open mouth. Please see the photos attached. Also I'm adding my attempts to identify the legend. I'm not totally about it but maybe it may help. Corbiniano Posted September 1, 2020 #2 Posted September 1, 2020 Hello, may be it's an object concerning Northern Europe (Sweden?, that have three crowns are in the coat-of-arms, but some others have them too...). --- Ciao, può darsi che sia un oggetto collegato con il Nord Europa (Svezia?, che ha tre corone nello stemma, ma anche altri le hanno...) Hello and thanks for the response! Maybe... At the same time, some Nuremberg jetons had three crowns. I was hoping someone can recognize the coat of arms (shield) on the other side. I'm almost sure this would be a breakthrough. Quote
Corbiniano Posted September 3, 2020 #4 Posted September 3, 2020 Surely! And the bear is the heraldic sign of Berlin too. ----- Certamente! E l'orso è anche l'animale araldico di Berlino. Quote
