vince960 Posted September 13, 2009 #2 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) This one, I think. RIC III 219 Antoninus Pius AR Denarius. ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XVII, laureate head right / COS IIII, Vesta standing left, holding simpulum and palladium. Possibly suberated, considering the green corrosion at the surface. vince960 Posted September 13, 2009 #4 Posted September 13, 2009 Grazzie Vince. Very thks  It's this popular or rare coin? Not rare, and there are also a lot of fakes of this coin on the market, therefore before any consideration on its value one should be sure at first that the coin is genuine. Moreover, the conservation is not good. I noticed that several of your denarii have green corrosion at the surface. Is there some copper behind or it's just dirt/incrustation on top of the silver layer? Quote
Kredek Posted September 13, 2009 Author #5 Posted September 13, 2009 All coins for identyfication from field area 20m x 20m, day after. Not conservation. Only water and soap. Quote
