Cuba 40 centavos 1915

Un saluto a tutti i frequentatori di questa sezione del forum ?

La moneta che vi mostro, un 40 centavos cubano del 1915, pur presentandosi in una conservazione ancora più che apprezzabile, ha certamente svolto il suo lavoro... secondo voi è possibile determinare a quale delle tre varianti (rilievi alti, "medi" e bassi) elencate dal Krause appartenga?

I'll leave these two notebook entries in English and ask you to please explain them if necessary. The section in bold is the shorthand answer:

 

x: Was finally able to see enough Cuban “Star” coins, and to learn to look at them with the necessary counter-intuitiveness, to discern the difference between a “high relief” 1915 40-centavo piece like this one and the “low relief” piece below. On high relief pieces like this one, the star is less well-defined than it is on low relief coins. (01)

 

x: As above, this “low relief” 1915 40-centavo piece took some time for me to figure out. And I guess I should have been smarter, but I wasn’t. The key to the problem, finally? The American Peace Dollar. Took just about a half-minute thinking about the difference between the high relief 1921 Peace and the low relief 1922 Peace before it was obvious what to look for in the Cuban “star” coins. That is, higher relief means less detail, and lower relief means more detail, especially in the center-lines of the star. (94)

 

Wish I had this coin in my hands--unfortunately I just can't from the picture whhich variety it is. If anyone is interested, I'll see about photographing the two coins above.

Grazie mille, credo proprio che delle belle foto delle due monete sopra descritte sarebbero l'ideale per comprendere la differenza...?
