Nella recente LEU WEB AUCTION 16, 22 - 24 May 2021 sono state battute alcune tessere del titolo.

Lot 3152. ASIA MINOR. Uncertain. 2nd-3rd centuries. Tessera (Lead, 17 mm, 5.07 g, 10 h). Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. Cult statue of Artemis Ephesia; crescent and star flanking. Gülbay & Kireç 196a-b; Vossen col. 53 = Münzzentrum Rheinland 159 (2011), 356. Cf. Gülbay & Kireç 195, 197-200 and 50-52 and Vossen col. 50-52 (for a tessera type showing the head of Alexander and a blank reverse). A well designed and attractive Ephesian tessera. The reverse a bit rough, otherwise, very fine.

Diademed head of the deified AleDiademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his earxander right, with horn of Ammon, all within pearled border. Rev. Artemis Ephesia; crescent and star flanking. Gülbay & Kireç 196a-b; Vossen col. 53 = Münzzentrum Rheinland 159 (2011), 356. Cf. Gülbay & Kireç 195, 197-200 and 50-52 and Vossen col. 50-52 (for a tessera type showing the head of Alexander and a blank reverse). Some scratches, otherwise, nearly very fine.

Lot 3155. ASIA MINOR. Uncertain. 2nd-3rd centuries. Tessera (Lead, 13 mm, 4.30 g, 3 h). Diademed head of Alexander 'the Great' to right. Rev. Lion walking right. Cf. Vossen collection no. 102 = Münzzentrum Rheinland 150, 256 (lion standing right on double exergue line). Somewhat rough, otherwise, good fine.

Sigillo in piombo probabilmente dell’ultimo periodo del regno di Alessandro Magno (Obolos WEBAUCTION 21, LOT 239, 2 Jan 2022).

Lot 239. KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Seal (Lead, 33x10 mm, 83.94 g, 11 h), dies engraved by Pyrgoteles (?). Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. Palladion set on a shield. No parallels known. Very rare and unusual! Nearly very fine.

This lead bulla is, in most probability, from the later period of Alexander the Great's reign. The imagery is fairly classic and mimics, in some aspects, the famous gold staters of Alexander the Great minted in Pergamon. Pyrgoteles was, by roal degree, the only individual allowed to produce images of Alexander the Great on seals ans gemstones.
