Aes formatum

[ARES III]

Navigando ho notato questo disco che viene definito "aes formatum" dal peso di 700 g e dal diametro di 113 mm.

Sembrerebbe anche carino ma non mi intendo molto di patine di questo periodo. Inoltre intravedo dei segni da un lato o sono solo delle protuberanze causali?

Cosa ne pensate?

Buonasera non mi sembra un aes formotum ameno che una fusione in bronzo che ha la forma del crogiolo in cui è stato fuso non gli dia questo appellativo, credo che laprotuberanze siano causali mi sembra che Garrucci ritenga questi pani aes rude o perlomeno i nuclei da cui in seguito alla frammentazione si ottenevano varie pezzature di aes rude. Per aes formotum credo che si intendano quelle fusioni in bronzo che avevano una forma ben precisa, penso alle conchiglie in bronzo o in piombo oppure a frammenti  più o meno grandi di barre che avevano una forma e volte segni ben precisi. Nel museo archeologico di Perugia è esposto il tesoro di una comunità che viveva nei pressi del lago di Piediluco, questo era composto da circa 200 kg di oggetti fusi in bronzo, asce e falcetti allo stato grezzo  che sicuramente in quello stato non potevano essere utilizzati, ha me hanno fatto pensare alle monete a forma di coltello o di vanga cinesi. Non ho potuto leggere l articolo scritto in inglese, ma se si ritiene che quel pane informe sia un aes formotum posso dire di non essere d accordo, saluti

Fusioni integre ne ho vista solo una con sedimenti marini in asta Artemide 15 anni fa,allora quella ne valeva la pena.

Caspita aggiudicato praticamente a 4.000 euro, indubbiamente un bel colpo. 😀
