Venice. Silvestro Valier gold Osella of 4 Zecchini Anno II (1695) AU58 NGC, Fr-Unl., Paolucci-II-345 (R5). 13.74gm. An elusive type on the whole, with any multiple Zecchini of Valier in high demand and only seen at mark infrequently at best. Of considerable quality, with only a uniform and gentle dispersal of friction capping the assigned grade and a pervasive residual glow throughout, most notable to the recesses of the obverse legends. One of the more recognizable designs of Italian origin from this era and an offering that doubtlessly will be met with strong bidder enthusiasm.
