I am new here & I am soaking up everything I can about the world of coins; There is a lot of buzz around cryptocurrencies & digital currencies . I want to know if there are any interesting developments in the world of traditional coins as well.
Are there any new coins planned by specific countries or entities?
I want to learn more & hear your thoughts on the evolution of the monetary landscape.

It is a broad question. At global level no major changes are foreseeable except for the enlargement of the European monetary union to include Bulgaria (probably in 2026) and the establishment (in a few years, barring various unforeseen events) of the monetary union of the East African Community. Unless there are major global geopolitical upheavals, these should be the only relevant developments until about 2030.

are you interested in new issues ( real coin issues) by various countries’ mints?

if so you need to check national mints’ updates and releases. For Vatican, Italy and a few others you may refer to the specific discussion in this forum in the modern issues section.
