Bolaffi Asta: 90€ Questo è il costo di spedizione normale? Is this normal cost for shipping ?

I'm from Lithuania and I'm huge Italian history enthusiast and coin collector like Papal States , Ancient Rome etc... So i couldn't resist Clement XI Piastra from recent Bolaffi Auction, but i was completely taken by surprise seing such extremely high shipping cost when i bought from several Italian and San Marino Auction houses the shipping never exceeded 30€ including in Italy case permit for export. I also won Papal coin from recent NAC Milan, and their final price for shipping, insurance and whatever else was 45€. What are your opinion ?

I did 2d ago, still waiting for response, but i already paid them because i want the export process start as soon as possible, i hope in any case they can refund if there is proper cheaper option.

watch out

Bolaffi tries to charge more than normally due. These "recharge" costs are a source of income for them (as well as for others dealers). Better ask before committing your bids - next time - to avoid any unwelcome surprise..

Yeah, i knew they will charge 20€ for export permit, so this was expected, but 70€ for  "packaging and shipping" lmao.  But in any case i try to bid for coins that are cheaper according to auction history

 

But what do you think, was the Clement XI 1702 Piastra was worth the 517€, lot Number 774, removed from jewelry

Clemente XI coin production is one of the most interesting for the artistry, the variety if subjects and for its representations. You can start now from low grades and then eventually progress upscale concentrating on the types that will please you in higher preservation grades.
