The Finish Ministry of Finance has decided that the max mintage for the “10th IAAF World Championships in Athletics” 5 euros collector coin will be increased. The max mintage will be increased with 25 000 pieces which makes a final max mintage of 175 000 pieces. The decision was made due to a higher estimate of demand than earlier planned.
The new collector coin will be launched on August 4th. On the adverse of the coin, three running feet and a part of the stadium has been portrayed. On the reverse a women javelin thrower is portrayed. The coin has been designed by sculptor Mr Tapio Kettunen.[/quote]
