Buonasera sono in possesso di questo piccolo bronzo di g. 1,74, acquistato in un lotto multiplo da una nota casa d'aste con regolare documentazione, volevo un aiuto su come classificarlo. Sembrerebbe il RIC VII 110, ma nel mio esemplare l'aquila è verso sinistra con la testa rivolta verso destra, mentre nel RIC l'aquila è verso destra con la testa rivilta verso sinistra. Purtroppo la moneta è in bassa conservazione, sopratutto al rovescio, ma è abbastanza leggibile....grazie a chi mi vorrà aiutare.....

Rev. An eagle standing head turned right, wings spread, MEMORIAE AETERNAE, in ex. RS.
This AE4 commemorative coin (c.16 mm) was struck under Constantine the Great in AD 317-318. The eagle was not only a common symbol of the city of Rome, but it was also the minister of Jupiter's thunder bolts, a major symbol of power. Later it became an important figure in consecration ceremonies where it was released from the summit of a funeral pyre, symbolizing the dead person's soul being carried up to heaven and becoming a god.

Se la legenda è DIVO MAXIMIANO SEN FORT IMP allora è DMa e pertanto sarebbe RIC 113.

Ciao, grazie gentilissimo! Non ho il RIC, la mia catalogazione è stata effettuata on line, perchè dispongo solo del Sear e del Montenegro ma non ho trovato niente....riguardo la rarità, è davvero così poco reperibile?
