Tra il 330 ed il 340, Costantino ed i suoi figli Costantino II, Costanzo II e Costante, fecero battere questa serie monetale, ,

 a nome della Vrbs Roma, con al verso la lupa capitolina ed i gemelli Romolo e Remo, riecheggiando

il tipo repubblicano. Si tratta di follis ridotti, genericamente definiti nummi,la cui dimensione, inizialmente AE3, si riduce progressivamente sino ad AE4.
