Beh, forse non completamente completato...la statua di Jefferson era assomigliano un calco in gesso dipinto a bronzo. E perché, nel 1943, la statua non era davvero bronzo? Come moneta-persone che conosciamo la risposta facile: 1943 acciaio cents! La statua bronze della Jefferson è stata installata nel suo Memoriale nel 1947. v. ------------------------------------------------------ A note I append to 1943 Jefferson nickels…1943 was the year the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC was completed and opened to the public. Well, maybe not completely completed…the statue of Jefferson was a plaster cast painted to resemble bronze. And why, in 1943, was the statue not really bronze?
