Roman Provincial Imperial Period A.D. 205–206 Mint: Pontus, Zela Dimensions Diameter: 27 mm. Weight: 16.05 gm. Die Axis: 12. Accession Number 64.281 Obverse: Laureate bust of Caracalla to right. Inscription in Greek. Reverse: Hexastyle temple of Anaitis. The front pediment is broken allowing view of the one behind it. Inscriptions in Greek around and in exergue. Provenance By 1964: with Robert E. Hecht, Jr.; purchased by MFA from Robert E. Hecht, Jr., March 11, 1964. Credit Line, Theodora Wilbour Fund in memory of Zoë Wilbour.
