Il primo Alessandro

Passato in asta NAC 92-I , n. 151 , torna dopo 16 mesi in asta Kunker 295 , n. 236 , il piacevole e di antico pedigree , tetradramma di Alessandro I con al rovescio la protome di capra retrospiciente .

Di questa bella e piuttosto  rara tipologia , unisco l'esemplare passato in CNG Triton XVII , n. 132 , che si differenzia al rovescio per la protome di capra non retrospiciente .

C’è anche un tetradramma dello stesso sovrano di tipo Cavaliere a sinistra/Testa di capra a destra (CNG 72, lot 237).

Raymond group I, 43 (A9/P7); SNG ANS 19 (same dies); SNG Alpha Bank -; SNG Saroglos -. Good VF, toned, minor roughness. Rare.
