Monete di 2018 da circolazione

È che il tempo di nuovo....il anni nuove monete. Spero di vedere la circolazione degli altri reperti da 2018 qui.

 

Ecco la prima moneta datata 2018 che ho visto in circolazione— un centesimo 2018D da Denver, come al solito.

 

 

Come si accumula l'arrivo degli anni precedenti? 2018 (16 febbraio); 2017 (11 febbraio); 2016 (10 Febbraio); 2015 (24 Febbraio); 2014 (15 marzo).

Here’s the first 2018-dated coin I’ve seen in circulation—a 2018d cent from Denver, as usual.

 

 

How does its arrival stack up with previous years? 2018 (16 February); 2017 (11 February); 2016 (10 February); 2015 (24 February); 2014 (15 March).

Ottenuto un paio di 2018D "Parchi" quarti in cambio l'altro giorno (Apostle Islands, in Wisconsin)  e fotografato insieme, pronto a lavoro l'autostrada...

 

I vari Stati americani adottano diversi approcci alle strade a pedaggio. Noi non pasticciare con loro molto, ma vicino Oklahoma è un'altra storia. (e perché no-un sacco di traffico Oklahoma autostrada è del drive-through varietà.)

 

Gran parte della sua raccolta di pedaggi è elettronica, ma Oklahoma ancora impiegano caselli. Infrequent o short-distance Turnpike-gli utenti li conoscono abbastanza bene. Il pedaggio sul Will Rogers Turnpike, per esempio, è andato di recente a $4.50, così la gente che pagano in contanti sono probabilmente andando ottenere o dare due pezzi da 25-cents.

 

Mio preferito casello è un uscita con un grande cesto monete-catching.

 

Gettare un coppia di quarter-dollar vostra auto finestra e sperare per il meglio (forse mancheranno, ma non hanno mai Hanno—ancora). Nel cestello ily andare. Fino va il cross-buck. Il verde "Via" la luce viene on....

 

Allora qui sono un paio di nuovi quartieri del “Parco,” accoppiato per la Turnpike e pronto a gettare...

Got a pair of 2018d “Parks” quarters in change the other day (Apostle Islands, up in Wisconsin)  and photographed them together, ready to work the Turnpike..

 

The various American states take different approaches to toll roads. We don’t mess with them much, but neighboring Oklahoma is another story. (And why not—a lot of Oklahoma highway traffic is of the drive-through variety.)

 

Much of its toll-collecting is electronic, but Oklahoma does still employ tollbooths. Infrequent or short-distance turnpike-users get to know them pretty well. The toll on the Will Rogers Turnpike, for example, has recently gone to $4.50, so folks who pay cash are probably going to get or give two 25-cent pieces.

 

My favorite tollbooth is an exit with a big coin-catching basket.

 

Toss a pair of quarters from your car window and hope for the best (maybe they’ll miss, but they never have—yet.) Into the basket they go. Up goes the cross-buck. The green “Go” light comes on….

 

So here are a couple of new Park quarters, paired up for the Turnpike and ready to throw…

You know this already, but for folks new to the subject, here goes…

 

You’re absolutely right about the low relief of the Park quarters. But for me they are still a major improvement on the State quarters—Washington’s snake-like hair drove me nuts. However….problems are coming, I think, for the current Park quarters.

 

A quarter from the ‘80s, a State quarter, and a Parks quarter (from 2016):

 

 

 Note the relatively high relief of the first, and especially the roundness of the portrait, contrasted with—again, aagh!-- Washington’s snake-like hair on the (middle) State quarter, but also its relative flatness over the whole of the portrait. Yikes!

 

So the third coin, the Parks quarter which had—when it was new and fresh—a rounded and detailed portrait, likely with some mint frost. All in all, for me anyway, the effect of a new Parks portrait is somewhat reminiscent of quarters of the early-’30s.

 

But the portrait work is very delicate, and almost crystalline. The photo.] gives an idea of what will happen to the Park quarters over time—this coin is just 2 years old. In 30?!
