Hi Guys,

This coin has not been ID'd and has been to all kinds of experts. Does anyone have a clue to it's country or date ?? I am stumped by this one.

Mereau is a church token ;)

Naturally it's just an hypothesis... could you see the drawing on the reverse?

It does not feel like a token as the reverse has a legend and an Edward type cross. I thought Crusades period but could not find any coin like it . This is a very unusual coin.

colchesterhunter, I think we are on the right way...

.. please, check this:

Your coin is surely from Majorca, and could be a dobler (or a dinero, if the weight is lower -1 dobler = 2 dineros-).

Unfortunately I can't tell you the king's name...
