valutazione siliquie rare all'asta

Tra qualche giorno verrà messa all'asta da Leu Numismatik la collezione di silique di Joseph Markowitz (1897-1981) in cui ci sono molti esemplari rari. Vi volevo chiedere consigli sui prezzi che secondo voi sono adeguati per queste monete. 

Tenete conto che l'asta è in franchi svizzeri e al risultato si applica una commissione del 20% più un 8'1% di IVA sul totale.

 

★ An extremely rare Siliqua of Constantius Gallus ★

Struck from a clashed reverse die, otherwise, about very fine.

Flavius Victor, 387-388. Siliqua (Silver, 17 mm, 1.38 g, 6 h), Mediolanum. D N FL VIC-TOR P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Flavius Victor to right. Rev. ★ A very rare Siliqua of Jovinus ★

Jovinus, usurper, 411-413. Siliqua (Silver, 16 mm, 1.40 g, 6 h), Treveri. D N IOVIN-VS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Jovinus to right. Rev. VICTORI-A AVGG / TRMS Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and inverted spear in her left. RIC 1710. RSC 4†a. Very rare. Struck from worn dies and with two flan cracks, otherwise, fine.

Jovinus, usurper, 411-413. Siliqua (Silver, 16 mm, 1.76 g, 6 h), Treveri. D N IOVIN-VS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Jovinus to right. Rev. Light deposits and with minor edge chipping, otherwise, about very fine.

A lot containing 8 silver coins. All: Roman Imperial. Siliquae. Fine to very fine. In questo lotto mi interessano le monete di Graziano e Gioviano.

Theodosius I, 379-395. Siliqua (Silver, 18 mm, 1.86 g, 6 h), Treveri, 388-392. D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius I to right. Rev. VIRTVS RO-MANORVM / TRPS Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory on globe in her right hand and inverted spear in her left. RIC 94b. RSC 57†a. Nicely toned. Flan crack and struck from a worn reverse die, otherwise, good very fine.

Vetranio, 350. Siliqua (Silver, 19 mm, 2.73 g, 12 h), Siscia, 1st March-25th December 350. D N VETRA-NIO P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Vetranio to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM / SIS Victory advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and trophy over her left shoulder. RIC 267. RSC 9b. Very rare. Pierced and somewhat rough with numerous scratches, otherwise, fine.

In un asta è difficile stabilire  un prezzo adeguato . 
il prezzo lo stabilisce chi compra, desiderando l esemplare.

sta a lei fermarsi se non reputa il prezzo congruo …

Ho indagato i prezzi di vendita nelle aste delle siliquie di Flavio Vittore e si aggirano sui 280-800 euro in base alla conservazione. Tuttavia andando a vedere lo storico delle aste di Leu Numismatik mi sono reso conto che i prezzi sono completamente fuori testa. Faccio un esempio, un denario di Augusto con al rovescio l'arco trionfale in F+ che io ho pagato 180 euro lo vendono a 650 CH più le commissioni. Stessa cosa si ripete per quasi tutto. Sono cifre legittime ma che non mi sento di convalidare, per monete nemmeno così rare.Ho deciso di non buttarci tempo in questa asta.

Però non tutte le monete hanno raggiunto cifre esagerate, ad esempio la siliqua di Vetranio, nonostante la grave pecca del foro ( pazienza) , in relazione alla sua rarita' ha strappato un buon prezzo, 80 franchi, ed un'altra moneta che tenevo sotto osservazione è un raro asse di Salonino , 190 franchi, in ottime condizioni

Casualmente ascoltavo un collezionista tutto contento che mostrava un sesterzio di Salonino dicendo che era uno dei pezzi più belli della sua collezione. Si deve trattare un una moneta rara oppure ricercata, perchè il pezzo a livello stilistico mi sembra nella media.

È assolutamente un pezzo raro, uno degli ultimi sesterzi dell impero, insieme a Valeriano II , gli ultimi in assoluto furono quelli di Postumo ed Aureliano , che sono anche più facili da reperire, ma se hai cominciato con l argento ti consiglio di proseguire con quello, un antoniano di Salonino lo trovi facilmente..
