Paleologo Inviato 11 Aprile, 2006 #5 Inviato 11 Aprile, 2006 Hello Doug, I really haven't seen anything similar before. Are the square/crosslet patterns incuse? This may not be a coin, possibly a button or a brooch/garment clasp. Ciao, P. :) Cita
dougdann Inviato 11 Aprile, 2006 Autore #6 Inviato 11 Aprile, 2006 Hi Paleologo, I'm starting to think the same thing. One aspect I hadn't noticed before are 3 holes, very small, equally spaces around the item. The patterns are incuse. Had thought maybe an early token type item or coin. But as mentioned might be a button. Or something meant to be worn around the neck This was in an unclean coin lot. Cleaned easily. Have cleaned other large button looking items before. So I guess this shouldn't be surprising. Thankyou, Doug Cita
