Ciao,

ha desiderato fare una domanda!? Per esempio: Nelle case di Aquileia segue le seguenti leggende: AQ, AQP, AQVI, AQVIL, AQOB, AQPS, SMAQ, etc.

AQ = AQUILEIA

AQP = AQUILEIA, prima officina, S secunda ... etc.

AQVI = AQUILEIA, 6ª officina ?

AQVIL = che cosa??

AQOB = che cosa?? (AQUILEIA obrusium ¿?)

AQPS = che cosa??

SMAQ = Sacra Moneta AQUILEIA

AQVI,AQVIL sono Aquileia

Obryzum e non obrisium

PS = pusulatum

Ciao Hispanicvs,

come hai segnalato, la sigla OB è da interpretare come abbreviazione di obryzum, con cui s'intende identificare l'aureo detto appunto "obriziaco" (d'oro purissimo, ovvero oro di coppella), che si otteneva con una tecnica di fusioni ripetute per depurare al massimo il metallo dalle impurità. Allo stesso modo la sigla PS indicava argentum pusulatum, ovvero l'argento depurato. Pare che tali sigle si osservino per la prima volta sulle monete battute da Valentiniano e Valente in occasione dei loro quinquennalia, celebrati nel 368.
