Guarda un po'....

The New York Sale. Auction XXV, lot 469, 5/11/2011

INDIAN & ISLAMIC COINS THE AL-SAYYED COLLECTION
IMPORTANT INDIAN & ANCIENT COINS
SULTANATES
Sultans of Dehli. Sikandar Shah Suri, AH 961?-962; 1554?-1555 A.D. Paisa, date off flan. AE 20.33 g. G&G D1153. Rare .
About very fine
It was the Suri ruler, Sher Shah, who introduced a radical and important monetary reform in his realms. He did away with the prevalent billon and small copper coinage of the Sultans of Dehli and replaced it with good quality silver Rupees and 20g copper Paisas; coinage types which formed the basis of Akbar, the great Mughal ruler’s coinage some years later. As often happened, the final years of Suri rule were ones of factionalism and rebellions. Sikandar and his cousin, Ibrahim rebelled against sultan Muhammad ‘Adil. Sikandar enjoyed some initial success but was soon defeated by Humayun, the Mughal ruler, and fled. His coins are all at least rare.

Sembra una moneta mongola zona Gulistan, i caratteri non sono arabi ma un misto di hordu e mongolo, simile a quelle su questo link :

https://www.numismall.com/acc/Golden-Horde-and-other-Juchid-coins-1252-1481-c-11459/?page=10

cerca in queste pagine ed in altre, forse è proprio tra quelle.

Vedi pag. 7 seconda riga a sx

Vedi pag. 8 prima riga a sx

Vedi pag 10 prima riga a sx
