Mi sono state regalate delle monete in argento (FS) in un cofanetto blu che sono state coniate da vari Paesi appartenenti al Commonwealth per commemorare i giochi del 1986. Qualcuno mi sa dire quanto valgono?

Ad esempio, che visualizzato 1986 2-sterlina XIII Commonwealth Giochi commemorative del Regno Unito è stato coniato in 2 versioni d'argento, una .500 e la altri .925 bene.

For example, I see that the UK’s 1986 2-pound XIII Commonwealth Games commemorative was coined in 2 silver versions, one .500 fine and the other .925 fine.

Mi dispiace. Ma forse qualcun altro può contribuire con questo aspetto.

Tutti questi pezzi d'argento in un caso blu devono compiere una pressoché display.... e la coniazione di quel Bahamas 10-dollaro, se è impostato su true, significa che alcuni di noi verranno mai visualizzati nella persona.

Thanks for reminding me about the .925 fineness—I don’t know what I was thinking!

I can find no mention of a 1986 “Commonwealth Games set” in either Proof/FS or BU/FDC in Coincraft’s 1999 Standard Catalogue of English & UK Coins 1066 to Date, so I can’t say what entity originally gathered these coins together and sold them as a set. Sorry. But maybe someone else can help with that aspect.

All these silver pieces in a blue case must make a pretty display....and the mintage of that Bahamas 10-dollar, if true, means that few of us will ever see it in person.

I've found further information and it look like also the Bahamas 10 Dollar coin was supposed to be minted in 20K pieces then I don't know if that has been changed at a later time.

In any case I didn't know the value of the coins so thanks again!!!

And thanks too for the information on the Bahamas piece. In addition to its report of 1,343 for the mintage of the .925 version of the Commonwealth 10-dollar, Krause (2009) has the mintage of the .500 coin at 899 pieces.

But 20K sounds more like it. I put a “?” next to KM113 and KM113a in my catalog. Thanks again.
