1901 10-reis delle Azzorre

Per circa otto decadi, fino al 1980, le ultime monete impressionanti specificamente come emissioni delle Azzorre erano due rama datato 1901. Le due monete, 5-reis e 10-reis, sono state colpite sotto l'autorità di Carlos I del Portogallo, un nipote di VEII dell'Italia. Qui è i 1901 10-reis:

Carlos che I è stato assassinato (insieme al suoi figlio ed erede più anziani, Luis Filipe) a Lisbona in 1908 e--curioso--era il primo re portoghese per morire una morte violenta in più di tre secoli.

Il monarchy del Portogallo overthrown durante la rivoluzione dell'ottobre 1910. Con l'avvenimento della Repubblica in 1911, il Azorean reale è stato sostituito dall'escudo portoghese, e queste monete di rame grandi sono state sostituite nella circolazione dai tipi della patria.

For about eight decades, until 1980, the last coins struck specifically as issues of the Azores were two coppers dated 1901. The two coins, a 5-reis and a 10-reis, were struck under the authority of Carlos I of Portugal, a grandson of Italy’s VEII. Here is the 1901 10-reis:

Carlos I was assassinated (together with his oldest son and heir, Luis Filipe) in Lisbon in 1908 and—curiously—was the first Portuguese king to die a violent death in more than three centuries.

Portugal’s monarchy was overthrown during the revolution of October, 1910. With the advent of the Republic in 1911, the Azorean Real was replaced by the Portuguese Escudo, and these big copper coins were replaced in circulation by homeland types.
