annius verus Inviato 30 Gennaio, 2015 #1 Inviato 30 Gennaio, 2015 Dear All, I would like to take this opportunity to call your attention to the small but select group of Italian Medieval silver coins that is part of Nomos' first webauction, obolos 1 closing on the 8th of February 2015, at 6 pm. It includes two great rarities: a beautifully toned and very rare denier, probably minted in Milan, of Charlemagne as King of the Franks and an extremely rare imperiale from the obscure mint of Varce (Varcelli?), one of only very few known examples. There are also important issues from Acqui, Bergamo, Como, Merano and Tortona of which there are a few highlights presented below. For those of you who are interested, I can provide you with the link to the collection (category: Early Medieval & Islamic): www.nomosag.com/default.aspx?page=ucWebAuction&webauctionid=1 I hope that you enjoy these coins as much as I do and wish you a great day. Best regards, Yves Cita

Cita
